I never enjoyed gambling. I guess I fell for all the propaganda that has gamblers look like washed-out bums spending their kids’ College fund on that one lame horse that never one because they have a feeling. I wouldn’t be caught dead inside a casino when I turned 18, I just didn’t see a point or any fun in gambling. Of course all my friends played poker, but even that wasn’t exactly exciting for me, there were a lot of games that were more exciting for me at the time. And then I saw the first add for an online casino.

I guess you could say that I was enticed by the anonymity of it, by a curiosity we all have to try out stuff that we always heard was wrong. Of course I could be trying it because there was also a chatroom and you could talk to strangers – the building block the Internet is built on. But the truth is, I registered for that freeroll game because I was bored.

Now I’m hooked, in a good way, to Blackjack. Online Blackjack games have a life of their own, much different to online roulette or poker games. I haven’t been to an actual casino – yet – maybe I’m still too shy for it. But the truth is I’ve started playing for fun and now I get a couple of extra money every month from it. I wouldn’t say I’ll quit my day job for it, but if I can spend half an hour in front of the computer and walk away 50 dollars richer, I’m game.
